For those who don't know it yet, Windows 2000 and Windows XP are
significantly different and better than Windows 95, 98 and ME
We've included Citrix MetaFrame and
Windows Terminal Services under the same heading, because they
attempt to do the same job
Both successfully provide the illusion of "thin client"
computing in situations where vendors have not yet managed to write proper
thin client solutions
We love the technology and work
with it on many sites, but feel it really shouldn't be needed in the 21st
century
We've included the Web browsers
because one day, all software will use this method of delivering
the user-interface, regardless of the devices running them
In our profession such software is too rare, but the vendors will
all get there - eventually
